The Chance by Karen Kingsbury

Two childhood best friends make a promise to each other to return years later and read letters written and sealed away beneath the old oak tree. As the date slowly approaches much has changed with both Ellie and Nolan, and Kingsbury weaves a tender story of loss, love, forgiveness, second chances and the power of faith.

The character’s intermingled stories stir the soul, as they deal with heart-ache, shame, and the messy reality of being human, and making mistakes. “The Chance” illustrates tremendous power of forgiveness, not just for those who need forgiving, but for those who have been wronged.

The reviewer is sure that any of Kingsbury’s life-changing novels will inspire and not disappoint.
