Black Ice by Becca Fitzpatrick

Black Ice, a young adult novel written by Becca Fitzpatrick, starts off with the Britt Pfeiffer and her friend Korbie making plans for spring break to go backpacking in the mountains.

On their way to the cabin a snow storm leaves them stranded and they are forced to abandon their vehicle and seek help. Upon stumbling over a remote cabin the girls find two fugitives also seeking shelter there, and are taken hostage.

The fugitives force Britt to guide them off the mountain, but the task becomes even more difficult when Britt discovers chilling evidence that one of the kidnappers is a cold blooded killer. Nothing is as it seems, and everyone seems to be keeping secrets in this fast paced thriller!

The reviewer thoroughly enjoyed this book, it had many plot twists that left them second guessing the outcome right till the very end. The book was well written and the reviewer looks forward to reading more of Fitzpatrick’s novels.
