A Lesson in Hope by Philip Gulley

Sam Gardner has been a pastor in Hope for just four months when Olive Charles passes away and leaves everything to the church. With an estate worth nearly one million dollars, the congregation is up in arms on how and when the money should be spent.

Then Olive's estranged niece turns up furious, and she threatens a lawsuit over what she believes is rightfully hers. Sam finds himself questioning his future in Hope while trying to guide his congregation and find a peaceful way to deal with Olive's estranged niece.

Readers will enjoy learning about Sam, sharing in his struggles, and grinning at his triumphs.  They will eagerly turn pages as Sam makes his way through a maze of decisions and inner turmoil. The author, Philip Gulley is a Quaker pastor from Indiana with a charming sense of small town life and a shrewd sense of life in general.
