The Answer to Everything by Elyse Friedman

The Answer to Everything is told from various points of view of a group involved in a scheme to set up an institution based on the charisma of a guru type personality who is attracting people by offering ‘the answer to everything’.

The reviewer found this book funny and smart. It was entertaining and open-hearted with a compassionate fondness for human foibles beneath the fun. It reminded the reviewer of Roddy Doyle, especially his early work like ‘The Commitments”.
